Earlier this fall, Tonya, blogger from The Shoe Maven, Salon Manger, Roberta, and I collaborated to create a vision of fashion. Tonya is a inspiring fashion blogger and Philanthropist who is battling Parkinson’s Disease in style. I met Tonya earlier this year, from the moment I met her, not only did she have amazing shoes, but she has a remarkable personality.
This December, Tonya and her husband Chad are celebrating their ten year anniversary in New York. Solutions Bridal stylist, Jessica, assisted Tonya with finding the perfect dress for her special day with Chad.
Thank you Tonya and Chad for working with us and creating these looks!

When you came shopping at Solutions Bridal, how was your experience?
I had an amazing experience. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like it was a special experience. The selection of dresses is incredible. There is definitely a dress for every bride, regardless of her style, at Solutions Bridal.
How did you know the dress you chose for your 10 year vow renewal was perfect for your day?
As soon as I put the dress on I knew. I think the dress is a great representation of me and my personality. Its classic lines yet unique look made me fall in love with it. Plus I love the color. I think it works well for the time of year.
How are you planning on styling your vow renewal look?
Well, I am looking for the perfect pair of shoes. The shoes cannot be too over the top because the dress is really the focus. I envision shoes with a classic style, but with a little bit of an edge. A pair of Nicholas Kirkwood shoes could be perfect.
You and your husband are such a beautiful couple. The way you support each other is so remarkable. How did you know he was the one?
Chad and I met when he and a partner in a law firm interviewed me for a job. I started working at the firm after my law school graduation. Chad and I worked together and became good friends. We were actually friends for almost two years before we started dating. One day we were having lunch and I thought to myself “Oh my, I think I’m in love with him.” The rest is history. I think our friendship fostered a lot of mutual respect which has carried into our marriage. We are celebrating ten years of marriage. It is quite the occasion considering less than a year into our marriage is when I began experiencing symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. I was not actually diagnosed until two years into our marriage. It was a lot to handle, but Chad has truly honored the vow “in sickness and in health.” His unwavering love and support has helped me survive two brain surgeries and live each day to the fullest. Over ten years we have shared good times and not so good times. The constant is our love for one another and for our amazing son.
How did Chad propose to you?
Honestly, it was a complete surprise. It was in the middle of the week and he said we were going to have dinner in St. Augustine, at one of our favorite restaurants, with another couple who are very good friends of ours. On the way to dinner, we got a phone call from our friends saying they were not going to make it to dinner. My friend said she must have eaten something bad because her stomach was bothering her. She was pregnant at the time so this really worried me. Chad spent the rest of the drive reassuring me that she was okay. Unbeknownst to me, this was all part of his plan. We were sitting at a nice table, in the romantic courtyard waiting for our food. The waiter brought out a plate covered with a silver lid. He put the plate in front of me and removed the lid to reveal a diamond ring. I was so shocked, I just kept staring at the ring and at Chad. I guess I looked perplexed because he said “It’s a ring, baby! Then he proposed.
Tonya is wearing a red lace ML by Monique Lhuillier dress. I love this look on her. The color is so vibrant. Tonya is such a classy lady so this dress really compliments her is every aspect. We styled this look with earrings by Maria Elena and her pumps are from Neiman Marcus.
This high low gown is Martinique by Rita Vinieris. Martinique is a high low wedding gown with a Chantilly lace bodice and a crop top. To make a statement with a pop of color, Roberta paired this gown with a pink pointed pump by Carmen Steffans.
For the final look, we styled Tonya in a lace romper by Watters. This romper was so perfect for Tonya. The romper is a light ivory color with pockets and pleads in the front. To finish the look, we paired the romper with rose gold heels and a rose gold clutch by Carmen Steffans.
