In the glamorous, fabulous, and fashionable world of bridal fashion, there is New York Bridal Fashion Week. Bridal Fashion Week is the most anticipated week in the bridal industry. Unless you don’t go on any form of social media, most people are aware of Fashion Week. Bridal Fashion Week is very similar, but way better (in my opinion).
During Bridal Fashion Week or known as Bridal Market, retailers, bridal designers, and their most recent collections travel from all over to New York for their fashion shows and buying appointments. During the four or five day week designers work from sun up to sun down getting ready to debut their works of art. I had no clue how much work went into Bridal Market and showing a collection until I had the opportunity of interning for not one, but two different bridal designers while in New York.
After the designers debut their collection at their fashion show, the buying appointments begin! During the buying appointments, different retailers ranging from department stores, online stores, bloggers, magazine journalists and like us, bridal boutiques go and have private appointments to view the collection. The designers will have models wear their gowns and the buyers will decide what gowns or accessories would work best for their clients, while sipping on espresso or champagne of course.
Our friend and Orlando photographer, Kathy Thomas traveled to New York with the Solutions Bridal buying team, Tali, Roberta, Jessica, and Designer, Anita to take photos of the latest collections. The photos below are taken at the designer’s fashion shows or buying appointments!
