Grand Bohemian at The Downtown Wedding Crawl
The annual Downtown Wedding Crawl was nothing less than successful. The Downtown Wedding Crawl is a luxury bridal show hosted at three different wedding venues in downtown Orlando. The three venues included the Citrus Club, The Grand Bohemian, and The Mezz. Orlando wedding vendors all work together to create what feels like a real wedding reception. At the Grand Bohemian, Weddings Unique and Raining Roses , A Chair Affair, Party Flavors Custom Cakes, Chalk Shop, and DJ Jacob Towe decorated the ballroom with two different themes, showing brides they can have their dream wedding reception no matter where the wedding is. Other Vendors at the Grand Bohemian at the Downtown Wedding Crawl include James Rayner Films, Luma Bridal, VIP Wedding Transportation, Sensational Ceremonies, and Connie Duglin Linen.
One of the two designs that were created was a glamorous and romantic setting with shades of ivory paired with powder blue and silver. Weddings Unique designed a tablescape with modern touches of clear plates and classic elements of lighting with candelabras. A Chair Affair completed the look with ivory upholstery chairs and ghost chairs.
We styled model, Natalie in a gown, Azzure by Ines Di Santo. Azure was the perfect gown for the setting because it has classic and modern elements through the fit and color. Azure is powder blue and shown in silk organza. Designed as an asymmetrical column fit with a detachable train, this gown is classic and unique. Simone with Makeover Station created a perfect look for Natalie. Sticking with the luxury and glamorous setting, Simone chose a dark eyelid and a pink lip for Natalie.
Only across the room, the second wedding reception design was very different from the first reception design. This design was darker with gold tones and dark wood tables. The Grand Bohemian has an artistic aesthetic with shades of red, gold, black, and even animal print throughout the hotel, so this setting complimented the hotel as a whole.
Weddings Unique created an outdoors vibe while being inside with dark wood tables, ghost chairs, and candles all around. Raining Roses created floral centerpieces and a floral arch around the sweetheart table. With roses in shades of red, blush, orange and greenery, Raining Roses kept the luxury setting, while staying true to the overall, relaxed feel of this reception.
To stay true to the overall relaxed and luxury setting, the perfect gown to meet both of these elements was needed. The Bistro by Lela Rose is a fitted silk crepe skirt paired with a nude and lace bodice. The skirt is made with silk fabrics and is hand made in New York, yet the gown is light and comfortable, so it fits the luxurious and relaxed setting. Simone with Makeover Station created a classic and soft look for the model. Staying away from a bold lip and focusing on dewy and bright skin made her look fresh, sexy, and natural.
