Bridal Trends Come and Go But The Classic Bride Remains

From 2014 and the beginning of 2015 the wedding gown trend was tight fitted, sheer netting, with lace applique all over.  This bridal look was highly demanded and the bridal trend seemed to grow over night.  Almost every phone call that came in, girls were asking for the sexy bridal look. Last October, I had the opportunity to go to New York for Bridal Fashion Week. Almost every designer had at least one or two gowns that were nearly see through. There were so many dresses in the same style, it became evident this was the latest fad.
Everyday street wear and evening gowns, I appreciate sexy outfits with plunging necklines and tight shillouetes. The bridal trend did raise some concerns though. Anyone who knows me, knows I love women and men who take fashion risks. However, how often does one wear a wedding gown? The sexy gowns are extremely beautiful the way they fit the body but think about 20 plus years from now. Would you still love the photos of you nearly nude? When your children and grandchildren look at the photos would you be excited to show them the photos or be hesitant?
Nearing the end of 2015, my guess is that the trend for 2016 is going to be the classic bride. I noticed the trend changing simply by the appointments we book. Now, brides are calling and requesting fabrics like taffeta and satins with an A Line fit.  I believe bridal trends come and go, but the classic bride is always going to exist.ulla-maija-laetitiaceline ulla maija
